The calculation tool is not completely accurate and the results are for reference only!
1. This tool only considers the number of containers needed for the volume of pipeline, not the weight, please calculate the number of containers needed for the weight by yourself and take the larger value;
2. This tool takes a 40HC container to contain a section of pipeline as an example. Under the condition of not considering the weight limit of the road, a 40HC container can contain about 28 tonnes at the most;
3. As the internal length of a 40HC container is about 12 meters, if the pipe sizing length is less than 5.95 meters, two pipe sections can be loaded, the volume of pipeline in each container is doubled and the number of containers required is halved.
BASED ON PIPE VOLUME, NOT WEIGHT
The required number of containers is:
Maximum Loading Capacity per 40HC Container for Large Diameter Seamless Pipes
For large-diameter seamless pipes, container loading calculations are too complex for a simple formula. The table below lists the available outer diameters (mm) and the maximum number of pipes that can be accommodated per container. This data is for the pipes which length is 6 meters or above. For pipes length shorter than 5.95 meters, the volume of pipes in each 40HC container can be doubled.
